Darren Yong
Co-Founder and Director | E: darren@weall.org.sg
Having always been passionate about the state of our climate, his exposure to indigenous perspectives and alternative discourses while pursuing a Master in Climate Change Science and Policy (Victoria University of Wellington) in 2023 inspired a broader and more holistic world view. The launch of WEAll SG is a culmination of the unease he felt with western classical economics, the increasing incongruence of our growth narrative and the breaching of planetary limits. A "coming full circle" moment, 20 years after learning about The Club of Rome's Limits to Growth as a junior college student.
Alongisde the expansion of WEAll SG's mission, he also works with the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) to pilot community wealth-building initiatives and drive thought leadership for alternative governance models as viable options for enterprise that result in greater equity while stewarding ecological outcomes.
